Blair D. Shwedo, president of SouthEastern Petroleum Programs, Inc. of Charlotte, North Carolina, was appointed by the board of administrators of the Petroleum Tools Institute to serve as treasurer of the organization. Shwedo was put in through the Institute’s 56th annual convention and commerce show held in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 8 -11, 2006. Shwedo assumes workplace instantly.
SouthEastern Petroleum Systems is a full service PEI distributor offering sales, service and installation, primarily in NC, SC, GA and VA. Clients vary in size from single site comfort store owners to nationwide non-public fleet fueling system operators with up to 500 locations throughout the USA.
Shwedo is a graduate of the College of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He has been president of SouthEastern Petroleum Techniques, Inc. since 1992. He and his spouse Laura reside in Charlotte, North Carolina, and have a son, Blair, Jr., and a daughter, Anne.
PEI is the international commerce association for distributors, manufacturers and installers of gear utilized in petroleum advertising and marketing and liquid-handling operations. Users of the tools include service station and comfort retailer house owners, terminals, bulk plants and airport refueling operations.
PEI is comprised of greater than 1,700 companies engaged in the manufacture and distribution of tools utilized in petroleum marketing operations. Members are located in 50 states and eighty one countries. The Institute’s headquarters are situated in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
